In the real world, when you vanish into thin air for a week, people tend to notice. In true Julie Kagawa fashion...she leaves you with a tear jerking cliff hanger. The Iron Traitor picks up where The Lost Prince left off. Ethan and Kenzie are back in the real world and are dealing with the issues of being gone for over a week. Going back to school is hard when you are an outcast, it's even harder when everyone thinks you kidnapped your girlfriend.
After his unexpected journey into the lands of the fey, Ethan Chase just wants to get back to normal. Well, as "normal" as you can be when you see faeries every day of your life. Suddenly the former loner with the bad reputation has someone to try for-his girlfriend, Kenzie. Never mind that he's forbidden to see her again.
But when your name is Ethan Chase and your sister is one of the most powerful faeries in the Nevernever, "normal" simply isn't to be. For Ethan's nephew, Keirran, is missing, and may be on the verge of doing something unthinkable in the name of saving his own love. Something that will fracture the human and faery worlds forever, and give rise to the dangerous fey known as the Forgotten. As Ethan's and Keirran's fates entwine and Keirran slips further into darkness, Ethan's next choice may decide the fate of them all.
Ethan and Kenzsie are only home a few days, before Meaghan shows up looking for Keirran. He is missing, he has been spotted a few times... but then he just disappears into thin air. Ethan is worried about Keirran, he thinks he may know where he is going so Ethan and Kenzie hatch a plan to find him - which of course means, going back into the Nevernever.
The Iron Traitor is a secondary book - so it's a little slower with more info and set up for book 3; but it's still an action packed adventure. Keirran is like his father and would do anything for the girl he loves, even if it means he has to fulfill the prophecy to save her. I have a feeling Book #3 is going to be a very emotional read.
