These ladies review for us on a part time basis. Most of them have their own blog or review for goodreads/amazon. When we started PTB we wanted a diverse group of women and that is just what we got by adding this wonderful group.
Joy:
I'm a grown up Army brat who has moved 19 times which means I'm from nowhere and from all over. I grew up outside riding my bike, inside reading books, and far, far away in my imagination. I was never bored as a child because I always had books to keep me dreaming. My love for literature became my focus in college, and I have a BA with a double major in English and History, and MA in English, and finished it out with a Masters in Library Science.
I eventually stopped moving when I got a job as a librarian almost six years ago. I am currently a Reference and Young Adult Librarian, and this job suits my love of teen literature and the thrill I get helping a teen find just what he or she is looking for perfectly!
To remind myself I am an adult, I put down the books and hang out with family and friends, especially my dinner club girls who never let a good sombrero picture opportunity pass them by!
I'm a twenty-something who's happiest when curled up with a good book. When I was little, I'd sneak in reading time like most kids sneak candy. Now that I'm older, I still sneak reading time...and I don't mind a chocolate or two with a good book! I still want to grow up to work with something book-related so I can make people love reading as much as I do. There's nothing better than falling in love with a book and being able to share and discuss it with other readers. I'm also a music fanatic, and love when the reading and music worlds collide.
Some of my current favorite books are: Wolves of Mercy Falls series, Anna & the French Kiss, Wither, and Wake.
I'm a 23 year-old graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing-- which I majored in for the simple reason that I hated studying pretty much everything else. I rediscovered my love for YA lit after graduating college, going out into the great wide world of job searches and bills, and looking for an escape. I'll read almost any YA genre, especially contemporary, dystopia, fairy tale retellings, fantasy, romance, science fiction and steampunk, but I believe in happily ever afters. I'm currently working on my first novel, tentatively titled "Now and Again" and am also busy plotting a YA fantasy novel.
My name is Michele and I'm, *ahem*, 43, mother of three who works full time. I fell in love with YA when I started to read Harry Potter with my son years ago. I love to read YA, Paranormal, Dystopia, and anything else that will take me away from real life for just a little while. I like to call my book collection my Personal Library, and I'm very proud of it.My highlite this year was meeting Lauren Oliver at a book signing. I am not ashamed to say I had a total fangirl moment!! And I also got to meet Stacey from PageTurners in person!! You can find me on Twitter & Goodreads.
Sierra:
I'm a teen reviewer, turning fourteen in one month, and a book addict. Books are my escape. They let me evacuate from my hectic life into someone else's. I'm also an aspiring writer. I have been writing stories since I was seven. People tell me I'm quite mature for my age, in my writing style. The YA authors I look up to and inspire me are Maggie Stiefvater {who is super nice!}, Richelle Mead {who told me she likes my name}, and Andrea Cremer {who is always super sweet}. I hope to become someone like them when I'm older. I feel good that I already know my future career and the courses I'll take in college. Even though I'm just entering high school. I was placed in an advanced high school, by the way. Scoring really high in the reading section of the school's testing. :) You can find me in a lot of places. I love to meet and make new friends. Don't underestimate me because of my age. Blog - Wattpad {writing website} - Twitter & Goodreads!
